That’s not a poison – that’s an overdose.

That’s not a poison – that’s an overdose.

Maybe it’s the sleep deprivation going on for the past 3 days or the screaming sciatica I’ve been gobbling methylprednisolone for or the esophagus melting reflux that the steroids are causing but it took 4 readings of that headline before I realized they were talking about an actress from New Zealand and her supposed poisoning caused by her breast implants. Is this a thing? Can unbroken silicone breast implants cause illness? Sure – they can set up all kinds of inflammatory sensitivities. But the symptoms described by this socialite? Nah. Don’t think so. Plus all the symptoms completely resolve within hours after removal of the implants? Not likely. I suspect that this unfortunate woman’s symptoms may be 10% related to her breast implants and 90% related to her underlying depression and mental illness.
