Last week we reported on Luz Lemonfeld, who is accused of attempting to injure her co-worker by tampering with a water bottle and pouring a caustic liquid into it. The co-worker, Sofia Santa Cruz, drank the water and immediately began vomiting, but is expected to make a full recovery. When apprehended, Lemonfeld reportedly said “Well, I guess it didn’t work.” What an understatement. What an idiot.

In an effort to protect children from accidentally ingesting prescription drugs and other medications, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has developed the Up & Away initiative. The goal of the initiative is to spread the message to put medication up, away and out of sight of children. Approximately 60,000 young children are brought to the emergency room each year because they took medications that were left within reach.
