I Think I Found an Ornament to Replace the Angel on the Poison Family Christmas Tree – Spock Dying of Radiation Poisoning!

I Think I Found an Ornament to Replace the Angel on the Poison Family Christmas Tree – Spock Dying of Radiation Poisoning!

Nothing says Christmas like that brilliant scene from Star Trek II – The Wrath of Khan where Spock sacrifices himself “For the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one.” You may remember that Spock intentionally allowed himself to be exposed to massive doses of ionizing radiation in order to seal a leak and then he and Captain Kirk had that wonderful moment – separated by glass (which really wouldn’t have done anything to stop the radiation from contaminating the whole ship and killing everyone aboard – but that’s a toxicological nit-pick) which was a metaphor for the invisible barriers in life that separated those two characters.  Love the Star Trek series of Christmas ornaments – I have Bones McCoy in a transporter and the actual Enterprise, which lights up! We have a pretty cool Christmas tree.
