Did She Overcome Lead Poisoning or Was She Just a Normal Kid With ADHD or a Learning Disability?

Did She Overcome Lead Poisoning or Was She Just a Normal Kid With ADHD or a Learning Disability?

This is a tough one because you don’t want to burst this lady’s lifelong bubble that her early difficulties with math were not secondary to the fact that EVERYONE has problems with math.  Also, lots of children are cured of behavioral problems at home like “picking up toys and throwing them across the room” not with some magical potion (although it never says that she was treated with DMPS or another chelating agent) but with behavioral modification. Lots and lots kids have modestly elevated lead levels – tough to make a judgement call when they don’t tell you what the lead level was or what (if anything) they did for her. I have a feeling that we will be seeing a whole lot more of these stories…
